1. impact of the implementation of covid-19 health protocols in supermarkets on cost.quantitative research design explanation

Answer:

This preliminary study describes the impact of the COVID-19 health crisis on people’s interests, opinions, and behaviour towards food. Here, the evolution of people’s internet searches, the characteristics of the most watched YouTube videos, and Tweeted messages in relation to COVID-19 and food was studied. Additionally, an online questionnaire (Spanish population, n = 362) studied changes in food shopping habits during the lockdown, motivations behind the changes, and perceived reliability of the information received from media. Results showed initial trending searches and most watched YouTube videos were about understanding what COVID-19 is and how the illness can progress and spread. When the official statement of a pandemic was released, trending searches in relation to food and shopping increased. Data retrieved from Twitter also showed an evolution from shopping concerns to the feeling of uncertainty for the oncoming crisis. The answers to the online questionnaire showed reduction of shopping frequency but no changes in shopping location. Products purchased with higher frequency were pasta and vegetables (health motivations), others were purchased to improve their mood (nuts, cheese, and chocolates). Reduced purchasing was attributed to products with a short shelf-life (fish, seafood) or because they were unhealthy and contributed to gained body weight (sugary bakery goods) or mood (desserts). Statements made by experts or scientists were considered by consumers to be the most reliable.

8. research problem of COVID-19 impact to hospitality industry

Answer:

COVID-19, also known as Coronavirus, is a new strain of infection that emerged at the end of 2019 and has since spread to over 140 countries, with more than 250,000 confirmed cases around the globe. Since the first identified case in Wuhai China, the virus has rapidly spread across the global and on 11 March 2020 the World Health Organisation (WHO) decalered the coronavirus outbreak a pandemic. Recent news of Italy taking drastic measures to control the spread of the virus dominated media outlets as a nationwide quarantine and eventual shutdown closed shops, bars, restaurants and non-essential services. Many countries, most recently the United States and Canada, have begun closing their borders in response to the outbreak. Impacts of the virus are far-reaching and continue to ripple throughout the world as businesses and people in their everyday lives get acclimated to their new reality.

One industry that is suffering the most immediate repercussions is the hospitality and leisure industry. Hospitality is among the hardest hit due to fears of community spread through travel and group environments. The news has been featuring the postponement and cancelation of events, conferences, conventions, and sports leagues, which is immediately driving down travel and tourism for business and pleasure.

11. research question for THE IMPACT OF COVID 19 PANDEMIC ON SMALL BUSINESS

Answer:

To explore the impact of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) on small businesses, we conducted a survey of more than 5,800 small businesses between March 28 and April 4, 2020. Several themes emerged. First, mass layoffs and closures had already occurred—just a few weeks into the crisis. Second, the risk of closure was negatively associated with the expected length of the crisis. Moreover, businesses had widely varying beliefs about the likely duration of COVID-related disruptions. Third, many small businesses are financially fragile: The median business with more than $10,000 in monthly expenses had only about 2 wk of cash on hand at the time of the survey. Fourth, the majority of businesses planned to seek funding through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. However, many anticipated problems with accessing the program, such as bureaucratic hassles and difficulties establishing eligibility. Using experimental variation, we also assess take-up rates and business resilience effects for loans relative to grants-based programs.

In addition to its impact on public health, coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has caused a major economic shock.

Answer:

The closure of educational institutions as a preventive measure against the spread of COVID-19 has affected the educational systems in the world. While the process of shifting learning to an online format has already become common to many educational institutions worldwide, several factors are assumed to affect the quality of remote or online learning, teachers’ performance, and students’ knowledge and skills. This chapter presents the research findings on the impact of COVID-19 on education and the well-being of teachers, parents, and students by listing the challenges relating to remote online learning. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with parents and teachers from pre-university public institutions within 14 municipalities, from seven regions of Kosovo. 21. Impact of the implementation of COVID-19

Answer: Covid-19 has had unquestionable impact on societies and specifically on healthcare across the world.Dedicated facilities for diagnosis and triage of patients with suspected Covid-19 have been established in primary care-, ambulatory- and community-based settings.Treatment and care of patients with Covid-19 has been organized in hospitals and ambulatory settings, followed by the rehabilitation of patients after a stay in intensive care units, thus affecting every sector of the healthcare system.Measures for the prevention of infections in the population have been intensified through many recommendations and regulations regarding hygiene and protection for airborne infections. Systems for early detection and tracking of infected individuals in the population are being set up in many countries. A set of preventive measures described as ‘social distancing’, while beneficial in reducing the spread of the virus, is causing new health problems (e.g. mental health problems, lifestyle-related diseases, family and domestic violence) that will need increased attention of healthcare providers in the coming period. While there is much hope for an effective vaccine, this would need to be provided to the entire global population within the shortest possible time on a scale that is unprecedented.
